But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Utz Weinforth couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of FC HARZ THALE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Großgöhren:s goal. Niclas Oppenheim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC HARZ THALE booed when Großgöhren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertil Vollath didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 22 minutes, Raphael Kompa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC HARZ THALE and the Großgöhren players grew even worse after the yellow card. Raphael Kompa hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Utz Weinforth scored 3-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tobias Warlies, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tobias Warlies made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philo Lingemann in the 39th minute of play. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC HARZ THALE! FC HARZ THALE:s Tobias Warlies showed great skill when he stopped Palle Krahforst:s penalty. If Utz Weinforth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manfred Lederer to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Alexander Tauber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Großgöhren and the FC HARZ THALE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 51 played minutes Großgöhren got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Tauber. In the 52nd minute, Christoph Schulitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Utz Weinforth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tobias Warlies read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Tobias Warlies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Utz Weinforth, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The audience was convinced that Utz Weinforth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tobias Warlies was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Utz Weinforth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Warlies having to interfere. Tobias Warlies showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Utz Weinforth in the 82nd minute of the match. Bertram Rutkowski kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. If Utz Weinforth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Utz Weinforth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Warlies saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Philo Lingemann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Großgöhren's Utz Weinforth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tobias Warlies narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Utz Weinforth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tobias Warlies was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Großgöhren fully deserved thier win.
