Karsten Altendorf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Utz Weinforth in the 21st minute. Vadim von Bonin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Utz Weinforth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Großgöhren's supporters rose to their feet, but Utz Weinforth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karsten Altendorf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 48 minutes Großgöhren's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Horst Berghoff who took care of the corner kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Utz Weinforth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Utz Weinforth notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Dageförde FC's Karsten Altendorf. Karsten Altendorf was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 57th minute, Philo Lingemann made a precise shot to the right of Karsten Altendorf. Karsten Altendorf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Großgöhren. Großgöhren's Karl Hummel suffered a fractured collar bone after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Großgöhren booed when Dageförde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikolaus Terwester didn't get a good kick on the ball. Philo Lingemann might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karsten Altendorf. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philo Lingemann ran back to his position shaking his head. Philo Lingemann struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Karsten Altendorf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Großgöhren. If Matthias Gingold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
