Spectators: 8180 (Terracing: 6137, Seating: 1881, VIP seats: 162) Matthew Hildebrand came out of the goal in the 2nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC 08 Brühl's Karl Marx. But to his dismay, Karl Marx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Karl Marx put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Matthew Hildebrand. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl Marx in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matthew Hildebrand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Donautal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arne Boehm was slow to take the kick. During this time FC 08 Brühl's players had a chance to rest. Matthew Hildebrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Marx in the 26th minute of play. Eckhard Girrbach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Connor Gebert made a huge save. 35 minutes into the match, Karl Marx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matthew Hildebrand. FC Donautal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl Marx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. FC Donautal's Matthew Hildebrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Marx in the 37th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Friedemann Burkert during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Friedemann Burkert hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Matthew Hildebrand came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by FC 08 Brühl's Karl Marx. But to his dismay, Karl Marx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. 42 minutes into the game, Berthold Brecht cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Matthew Hildebrand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Matthew Hildebrand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl Marx's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. After the first half FC 08 Brühl were leading 0-8. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl Marx was the one to do the kick off. Matthew Hildebrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Marx in the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC 08 Brühl's Padro Cambero got a free kick in the 54th minute. The audience was convinced that Karl Marx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthew Hildebrand was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. After 56 minutes, Karl Marx made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. FC Donautal's Matthew Hildebrand tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute, Berthold Brecht reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matthew Hildebrand. The goal made the score 0-10. Evert Rütten hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. FC 08 Brühl's Arne Boehm couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Donautal. After some careless play in the FC Donautal defense, Karl Marx kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matthew Hildebrand. The FC Donautal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matthew Hildebrand should have stopped the shot. 67 minutes into the match, FC Donautal's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Marx came free, but Matthew Hildebrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute of the match, Karl Marx tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matthew Hildebrand saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Berthold Brecht in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Matthew Hildebrand, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the last second Matthew Hildebrand throw himself and got hold of the ball when Karl Marx in the 74thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 76th minute of the match FC 08 Brühl got a corner. FC Donautal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arne Boehm ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Arne Boehm got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Matthew Hildebrand quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, FC 08 Brühl's Padro Cambero got a free kick in the 79th minute. FC 08 Brühl's Berthold Brecht got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matthew Hildebrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Marx in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, FC Donautal's goalkeeper Matthew Hildebrand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl Marx. A hard shot 89 in the game by Karl Marx from a close distance when the talented Matthew Hildebrand managed to make a qualified save. FC Donautal's players were relieved. Wit Olender hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes FC 08 Brühl got a freekick which was hit by Karl Marx. When Arne Boehm fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC 08 Brühl's protests and gave Arne Boehm a yellow card for diving instead. FC 08 Brühl played a much better game than FC Donautal and deserved their victory. The FC Donautal players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
