The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Torsten Kalthoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole Per Köppen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bantorf's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Achim Meiners in the 5th minute. Ocke Kamieth was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience was convinced that Torsten Kalthoff's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ole Per Köppen was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. If Volker Farber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Yan Qian Fei came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Bantorf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yan Qian Fei couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Bantorf booed when KFC Hansa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregor Glöckner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ole Per Köppen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Qian Fei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Bantorf's Ulfert Bloch got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute, Yan Qian Fei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ole Per Köppen came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bantorf's Torsten Kalthoff. But to his dismay, Torsten Kalthoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Yan Qian Fei succeeded in the game's 38th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Ole Per Köppen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Torsten Kalthoff's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute Torsten Kalthoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole Per Köppen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yan Qian Fei might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ole Per Köppen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yan Qian Fei ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Bantorf booed when KFC Hansa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erman Orhon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Bantorf were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matthias Reiter to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Yan Qian Fei notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of KFC Hansa's Ole Per Köppen. Ole Per Köppen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Torsten Kalthoff put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Ole Per Köppen. The crowd rose to their feet as Yan Qian Fei kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ole Per Köppen. That made the score 0-7 in the 61 minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Yan Qian Fei notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of KFC Hansa's Ole Per Köppen. Ole Per Köppen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ole Per Köppen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yan Qian Fei in the 68th minute of play. Yan Qian Fei in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ole Per Köppen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 70th minute, Ulfert Bloch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute Matthias Reiter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batur Hakyemez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ole Per Köppen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yan Qian Fei's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Mark Riess managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bantorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Riess was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ole Per Köppen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Riess in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ole Per Köppen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bantorf's Batur Hakyemez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Lütke in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Bantorf getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Gustav Herkner hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Mark Riess got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Mark Riess's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ole Per Köppen was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Mark Riess hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. A hard shot 90 in the game by Yan Qian Fei from a close distance when the talented Ole Per Köppen managed to make a qualified save. KFC Hansa's players were relieved. Bantorf's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
