When Ulf Bernhauer fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Hansa's protests and gave Ulf Bernhauer a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes KFC Hansa got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Bernhauer. After having played for 5 minutes, Murathan Kutcan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Hansa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murathan Kutcan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Honorio Ekialde managed to get in a good position for a shot. FFK Kosova's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorio Ekialde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ole Per Köppen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ulf Bernhauer was shown his second yellow card after 12 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of FFK Kosova booed when KFC Hansa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Bernhauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Honorio Ekialde struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Ole Per Köppen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FFK Kosova. Honorio Ekialde might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ole Per Köppen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Honorio Ekialde ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Ekialde in the 23rd minute of play forced KFC Hansa's goalkeeper Ole Per Köppen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honorio Ekialde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole Per Köppen having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Honorio Ekialde managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FFK Kosova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorio Ekialde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonas Degener showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Paetsch, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After 47 minutes, Meikel Bode mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FFK Kosova and the KFC Hansa players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Armin Lütke came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the KFC Hansa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armin Lütke couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Honorio Ekialde to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Honorio Ekialde took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Ole Per Köppen to make any attempt to save it. Honorio Ekialde recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Honorio Ekialde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Ole Per Köppen made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Murathan Kutcan managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Hansa's supporters rose to their feet, but Murathan Kutcan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Degener breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the match, Karl Paetsch had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas Degener. FFK Kosova's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl Paetsch was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience was convinced that Honorio Ekialde's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ole Per Köppen was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Nasko Tarinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nasko Tarinski's late challenge caught a KFC Hansa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nasko Tarinski helped the player get up and apologised. Nasko Tarinski hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, FFK Kosova's Honorio Ekialde sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ole Per Köppen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75thth minute of the game Honorio Ekialde who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Hansa's Ole Per Köppen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, FFK Kosova's goal looked a bit too open when Armin Lütke came free, but Jonas Degener reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match KFC Hansa got a corner. FFK Kosova's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Murathan Kutcan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Murathan Kutcan made a great header on KFC Hansa's corner, it was just that FFK Kosova's Jonas Degener managed to reach the ball for a save. Emanuel Otto hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Karl Paetsch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Hansa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Paetsch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nasko Tarinski kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. FFK Kosova were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing KFC Hansa to leave the ground with a draw.
