Spectators: 8421 (Terracing: 6316, Seating: 1937, VIP seats: 168) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Boruc Makowski got the match started through his kick off. Boruc Makowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Erling Askstedt put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hoyt Cormier. Erling Askstedt struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Hoyt Cormier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ratekau. Hoyt Cormier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boruc Makowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Erling Askstedt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dávid Alaba's late challenge caught a Ratekau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dávid Alaba helped the player get up and apologised. Dávid Alaba hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Stuart Vöge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hoyt Cormier having to make a save. With a little luck, TSV 1860 München's Hoyt Cormier got control of the ball when Erling Askstedt tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 22 played minutes TSV 1860 München got a freekick which was hit by Kay Hohlfeld. 23 minutes into the match, Ratekau's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Haas came free, but Max Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Kay Hohlfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TSV 1860 München's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kay Hohlfeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 28 played minutes TSV 1860 München got a freekick which was hit by Hernando Weber. Hoyt Cormier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boruc Makowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Erling Askstedt came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Ratekau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erling Askstedt couldn't finish the play. Erling Askstedt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hoyt Cormier firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hoyt Cormier made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Lauritz Gröbner sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute Ratekau were awarded a corner. Stuart Vöge went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Ratekau's Lauritz Gröbner getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ratekau were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after TSV 1860 München's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stuart Vöge took the corner. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sydney Haas made the kick off in the second half. Hoyt Cormier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauritz Gröbner, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th match minute, Ratekau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Costante to maneuver through the defense. Hoyt Cormier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauritz Gröbner in the 59th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, TSV 1860 München's goal looked a bit too open when Boruc Makowski came free, but Hoyt Cormier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ratekau's Max Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Haas in the 65th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, TSV 1860 München's goal looked a bit too open when Lauritz Gröbner came free, but Hoyt Cormier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68thth minute of the game Lauritz Gröbner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TSV 1860 München's Hoyt Cormier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hoyt Cormier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lauritz Gröbner's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. The supporters of Ratekau booed when TSV 1860 München was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kay Hohlfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. TSV 1860 München's Lukas Elfoss was substituted for Sydney Haas. TSV 1860 München's Jürg Simoneit was substituted for Klaus Havertz. Kay Hohlfeld hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by TSV 1860 München's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stuart Vöge was slow to take the kick. During this time Ratekau's players had a chance to rest. Ratekau's Stuart Vöge was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hoyt Cormier in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Max Åström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Rewer in the 76th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Rewer in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Max Åström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boruc Makowski in the 80th minute of play forced TSV 1860 München's goalkeeper Hoyt Cormier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lukas Elfoss hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Erling Askstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ratekau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erling Askstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. TSV 1860 München's Jürg Simoneit got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Ratekau support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
