Zacharias Römer hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. A collision led to Trabzonspor getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Kasper Spann hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Trabzonspor's zone, Helmut Schepers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasio Santo came out of the goal and Helmut Schepers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kasper Spann got free with Jâninho Potiguar in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 36 minutes, Ulf Stöckel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trabzonspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulf Stöckel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Curtis Ohrem could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Jâninho Potiguar made a huge save. Anastasio Santo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niko Leibrandt in the 39th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niko Leibrandt in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anastasio Santo saved Trabzonspor from getting behind. If Helmut Schepers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niko Leibrandt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Niko Leibrandt in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anastasio Santo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Anastasio Santo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niko Leibrandt in the 83rd minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, C.A.Tapiales - Münster's Helmut Schepers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anastasio Santo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Curtis Ohrem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
