Simon Bannenbusch started the match with the kick off. With his leg Rudolf Dörr managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when KFC Uerdingen 05's Simon Bannenbusch fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rudolf Dörr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 8 minutes, Rui Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Uerdingen 05's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Josua Kuhles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudolf Dörr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Bannenbusch in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rudolf Dörr saved Outer Space FC from getting behind. Rudolf Dörr made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Simon Bannenbusch sent off a good shot on target. In the 17th minute Rui Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolf Dörr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simon Bannenbusch in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rudolf Dörr prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rui Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simon Bannenbusch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Outer Space FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Joost Mackenthun hit a great ball. Simon Bannenbuschs short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Rudolf Dörr to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rui Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Rudolf Dörr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simon Bannenbusch in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 31st minute Rui Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolf Dörr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, KFC Uerdingen 05's Simon Bannenbusch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rudolf Dörr made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Rui Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Dörr having to interfere. If Simon Bannenbusch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Outer Space FC's goalkeeper Rudolf Dörr had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Bannenbusch. Rudolf Dörr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucien Zollt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Boris Fackler made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Costa in the 59th minute of play forced Outer Space FC's goalkeeper Rudolf Dörr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rudolf Dörr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrizio Nowak in the 61st minute of play. KFC Uerdingen 05's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabrizio Nowak in the 62nd minute. A very nice done corner allowed Marian Matetzki to score against Rudolf Dörr in Outer Space FC's goal. 2-0 after 62 minutes. 68 minutes into the match, Rui Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rudolf Dörr. Outer Space FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rui Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When Simon Bannenbusch came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the KFC Uerdingen 05 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Bannenbusch couldn't finish the play. After 73 minutes, Andy Michl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Uerdingen 05 and the Outer Space FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. KFC Uerdingen 05:s Ago Vaasna showed great skill when he stopped Manfred Diem:s penalty. Outer Space FC's Rudolf Dörr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucien Zollt in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute KFC Uerdingen 05 were awarded a corner. Fabrizio Nowak went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on KFC Uerdingen 05's corner Fabrizio Nowak fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rudolf Dörr quite easily take care of the ball. Rui Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Dörr having to interfere. Rudolf Dörr didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabrizio Nowak went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 95 minutes into the match, Outer Space FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Costa came free, but Rudolf Dörr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
