Alex Cauli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Ixaka in the 8th minute of play. Ulrich Fiedeler's late challenge caught a Brauer FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulrich Fiedeler helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Altenmittlau getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Ulrich Fiedeler hit a great ball. Herbert Könnecke hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Hugo Ixaka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brauer FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Ixaka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Cauli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the match, Mathias-Alexander Leers notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Altenmittlau's Alex Cauli. Alex Cauli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Darius Minge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Alex Cauli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Ixaka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Hugo Ixaka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Cauli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Homer Behnert to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Altenmittlau got a freekick which was hit by Ulrich Fiedeler. In the 53rd match minute, Altenmittlau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Holger Rädle to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute of the match Jochen Lafontaine sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Cauli skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Darius Minge took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Alex Cauli to make any attempt to save it. Brauer FC's Darius Minge got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Cauli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias-Alexander Leers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Brauer FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mathias-Alexander Leers hit a great ball. Mathias-Alexander Leers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Cauli having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Altenmittlau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bilge Kağan Savlet to maneuver through the defense. Berend Kuhn's shot from long distance in the 73rd minute was not bad at all, but Altenmittlau's Alex Cauli knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 75 minutes into the game, Holger Rädle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Altenmittlau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brauer FC the free kick. Mathias-Alexander Leers took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alex Cauli. Alex Cauli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Brauer FC's Darius Minge got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mathias-Alexander Leers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Brauer FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Altenmittlau throughout the match.
