Markus Heinsch came out of the goal and Arnout Van Kelf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Franks Boys booed when Fenerbahce SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moritz Dworakowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Fenerbahce SK's goal looked a bit too open when Bolko Hupach came free, but Ratko Schrag reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fenerbahce SK played a much better game than Franks Boys and deserved their victory. The Franks Boys players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
