Eugeniusz Tyski made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Lajos Détári sent off a good shot on target. When Benny White came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Hamburg City Vampires fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benny White couldn't finish the play. Abdul Behnisch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinhard Borkmann in the 12th minute of play. Eugeniusz Tyski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Ixona, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benny White in the 18th minute of play forced CEMEL EFSANESPOR's goalkeeper Abdul Behnisch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Benny White got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abdul Behnisch quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Reinhard Borkmann's late challenge caught a CEMEL EFSANESPOR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reinhard Borkmann helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Amancio Ixona managed to get in a good position for a shot. CEMEL EFSANESPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Amancio Ixona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugeniusz Tyski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lajos Détári could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Eugeniusz Tyski made a huge save. CEMEL EFSANESPOR's Abdul Behnisch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benny White in the 33rd minute of play. Hamburg City Vampires's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marc Hooiveld in the 37th minute. Benny White received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Abdul Behnisch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lajos Détári recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eugeniusz Tyski made a fantastic save in the 49th minute, when Lajos Détári sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Ixona in the 53rd minute of play forced Hamburg City Vampires's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Tyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute of the match CEMEL EFSANESPOR got a corner. Hamburg City Vampires's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jerico Cantera ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Géza Rákosi got free with Abdul Behnisch in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hamburg City Vampires's Reinhard Borkmann got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mateo Savion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Eugeniusz Tyski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Hamburg City Vampires booed when CEMEL EFSANESPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentas Dūda didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Haralampi Chunov came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the CEMEL EFSANESPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haralampi Chunov couldn't finish the play. Abdul Behnisch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny White in the 72nd minute of play. Abdul Behnisch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reinhard Borkmann in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute of the match Hamburg City Vampires got a corner. CEMEL EFSANESPOR's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eugeniusz Tyski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. CEMEL EFSANESPOR's Christian Moseng was substituted for Amancio Ixona. In the 85th minute, Tipper Mulvihill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Hamburg City Vampires defense, Haralampi Chunov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugeniusz Tyski. The Hamburg City Vampires fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugeniusz Tyski should have stopped the shot. 90 minutes into the match, Lajos Détári notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Hamburg City Vampires's Eugeniusz Tyski. Eugeniusz Tyski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 94th minute Christian Moseng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Tyski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdul Behnisch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benny White, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lajos Détári in the 97th minute of play forced Hamburg City Vampires's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Tyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CEMEL EFSANESPOR were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hamburg City Vampires for a fine match.
