In the 86th minute, Thoralf Banke sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Hamburg's Alban Bolesta didn't even have to move. FC Hamburg's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hendrik Holletschek in the 90th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Hamburg fully deserved thier win.
