Siim Kikas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pawel Reiners in the 26th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, FC Wachdendonk's goalkeeper Axel Groth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erwin Backes. In the 39th minute Pawel Reiners shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siim Kikas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Peres to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Wachdendonk's Axel Groth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Heremans in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th minute Claudius Marsching shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Groth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas got control of the ball when Justin Hilpert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Siim Kikas made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Justin Hilpert sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute of the match FC Wachdendonk got a corner. De Gulden Draak's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ignacy Lemiesz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of FC Wachdendonk booed when De Gulden Draak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Ostrowicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Peres in the 81st minute of play forced FC Wachdendonk's goalkeeper Axel Groth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Wachdendonk were furious when Dennis Zirwes was red carded, 88 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 87th minute, one of FC Wachdendonk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Wachdendonk. 97 minutes into the game, FC Wachdendonk's Pawel Reiners nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Siim Kikas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. De Gulden Draak's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
