The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Christian Gebhard put in a rough tackle. In the 3rd minute, one of Roitzheim:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Roitzheim. A collision led to Roitzheim getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ovid Niestroj hit a great ball. Okanay Kunter was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 10th minute. Roitzheim's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Thorsten Benscheider showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidelio Weispfenning, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Okanay Kunter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roitzheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Partizani Tirana the free kick. Roitzheim's Wolfgang Dallmeier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Clason in the 25th minute of play. After 28 minutes, Thorsten Brock mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roitzheim and the FK Partizani Tirana players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th match minute, FK Partizani Tirana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zwi Gilgen to maneuver through the defense. Mustafa Reese hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Roman Raucher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FK Partizani Tirana's Thorsten Benscheider proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save FK Partizani Tirana from getting a goal against them. If Erich Peuckert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wolfgang Dallmeier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erich Peuckert in the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kemal Schmitter to strike the kick off in the second half. Thorsten Brock hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kemal Schmitter got free with Wolfgang Dallmeier in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wolfgang Dallmeier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kemal Schmitter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FK Partizani Tirana booed when Roitzheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidelio Weispfenning didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Okanay Kunter made a precise shot to the right of Thorsten Benscheider. FK Partizani Tirana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Thorsten Benscheider came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Roitzheim's Okanay Kunter. But to his dismay, Okanay Kunter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Wolfgang Dallmeier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kemal Schmitter in the 73rd minute of play. Tommy Clason hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. FK Partizani Tirana's Thorsten Benscheider played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okanay Kunter in the 87th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Clason got free with Wolfgang Dallmeier in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute, FK Partizani Tirana's Tommy Clason dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
