The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Wolfram Mattheis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Axel Groth. FC Wachdendonk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wolfram Mattheis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Pawel Reiners received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Bastian Abel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Axel Groth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wolfram Mattheis in the 16th minute of the match. In the 21st match minute, FC Wachdendonk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gedeon Pamatat to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th match minute, FC Eisenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximilian Winkelsett to maneuver through the defense. Bastian Abel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Justin Hilpert showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 40 minute of play. In the 46th minute Pawel Reiners shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastian Abel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Justin Hilpert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Bastian Abel made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Justin Hilpert managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Wachdendonk's supporters rose to their feet, but Justin Hilpert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bastian Abel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Mirko Saßmannshausen made the kick off in the second half. Axel Groth made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Friedrich Reubold sent off a good shot on target. 54 minutes into the game, FC Wachdendonk's Justin Hilpert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bastian Abel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 58th match minute, FC Wachdendonk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gedeon Pamatat to maneuver through the defense. Bastian Abel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Schwabe in the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Nils Schwabe made a precise shot to the right of Bastian Abel. FC Eisenberg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. With an all-out effort, FC Eisenberg's Axel Groth threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mirko Saßmannshausen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Axel Groth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolfram Mattheis, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Bastian Abel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Zirwes in the 72nd minute of play. Wolfram Mattheis spun around in front of the goal 76 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of FC Wachdendonk's goal. FC Wachdendonk's Malik Zensen was substituted for Justin Hilpert. Christian Mandel lost his temper 79 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 78th minute, one of FC Wachdendonk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Wachdendonk. Mirko Saßmannshausen placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Axel Groth was a little too slow when Friedrich Reubold got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 3-4. Wolfgang Schui made a great header on FC Eisenberg's corner, it was just that FC Wachdendonk's Axel Groth managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to FC Eisenberg getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Maximilian Winkelsett hit a great ball. FC Wachdendonk's Axel Groth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mirko Saßmannshausen in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute Pawel Reiners shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastian Abel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pawel Reiners sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Eisenberg eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
