Franz-Peter Zinn struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Axel Groth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Partizani Tirana. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Hubert Simpson made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Justin Hilpert managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Wachdendonk's supporters rose to their feet, but Justin Hilpert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of FC Wachdendonk booed when FK Partizani Tirana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pawel Reiners fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thorsten Benscheider having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Wachdendonk had won after a very even match.
