The supporters of FC Germania München booed when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toralf Hell didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When David Elodio came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Elodio couldn't finish the play. A nice corner shot did that Ahmet Orhan İlbaşı got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Andriy Lunin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. David Elodio took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Richard Mühsam. Richard Mühsam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Andriy Lunin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karsten Zentner in the 84th minute of play. David Elodio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kasper Rechkemmer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Andriy Lunin made a huge save. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Andriy Lunin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasper Rechkemmer in the 88th minute of play. If Karsten Zentner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 90 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Karsten Zentner came free, but Andriy Lunin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niculae Ungureanu kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. With an all-out effort, FC Germania München's Andriy Lunin threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ludger Krug, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
