SC Night Cats's Sepp Meier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Steinborn in the 8th minute of play. Sepp Meier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Steinborn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Halbich in the 14th minute of play forced BV Borussia Warstein's goalkeeper Malte Keller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes, Lou Pahlmann made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. SC Night Cats's Sepp Meier tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Joseph Brinkmann struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Malte Keller didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as BV Borussia Warstein's Giovanni Lindenthal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sepp Meier. That made the score 3-0 after 29 minutes of play. SC Night Cats's Sepp Meier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save SC Night Cats from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Malte Keller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xabat Acedo in the 52nd minute of the match. Malte Keller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Wilbois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, BV Borussia Warstein's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Wilbois came free, but Malte Keller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berthold Wüsthoff made a great header on SC Night Cats's corner, it was just that BV Borussia Warstein's Malte Keller managed to reach the ball for a save. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sepp Meier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, SC Night Cats's Xabat Acedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. 93 minutes into the game, Lou Pahlmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Sepp Meier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. BV Borussia Warstein's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
