The Verner Beňák was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Telcov's Verner Beňák proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Telcov from getting a goal against them. If Aleš Lokaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Volek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Verner Beňák read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Aleš Lokaj could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Verner Beňák made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slavoj Nečesaný in the 34th minute of play forced FC Efkarentos's goalkeeper Erik Stanislav to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 37 minutes, Aleš Lokaj managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Efkarentos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aleš Lokaj was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aleš Lokajs short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Verner Beňák to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 42nd minute Slavoj Nečesaný shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Stanislav saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Jaromír Laštovka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th match minute, FC Efkarentos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josef Běloch to maneuver through the defense. If Jan Volek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
