Darley Markcrow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Slavoj Nečesaný in the 17th minute of play. Roman Chmiel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Verner Beňák tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hanuš Vlašic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ankh-Morpork Shades's Darley Markcrow played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Slavoj Nečesaný in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Zdeněk Štrobl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ankh-Morpork Shades's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zdeněk Štrobl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41stth minute of the game Hanuš Vlašic who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Telcov's Verner Beňák was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zdeněk Štrobl might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Verner Beňák. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zdeněk Štrobl ran back to his position shaking his head. František Pitra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Beňák having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hanuš Vlašic to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Slavoj Nečesaný's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Darley Markcrow was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After 56 minutes of play, Ankh-Morpork Shades's Hanuš Vlašic made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Rovenský's late challenge caught a Ankh-Morpork Shades's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jan Rovenský helped the player get up and apologised. 74 minutes into the game, one of Telcov:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 88thth minute of the game Hanuš Vlašic who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Telcov's Verner Beňák was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Telcov getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ondřej Šopík hit a great ball. Telcov's Verner Beňák played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hanuš Vlašic in the 91st minute of play. After 95 played minutes Telcov got a freekick which was hit by Oldřich Kubáč. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Hanuš Vlašic sped through Telcov's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Verner Beňák.
