Boruc Juszkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomáš Čuba in the 45th minute of the match. Henrich Hoffman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Baník Ostrava's Markus Růčka proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save FC Baník Ostrava from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Vavřinec Halada charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vavřinec Halada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Baník Ostrava fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! After a rather tough play, FC Baník Ostrava's Jiří Slaný got a free kick in the 79th minute. Markus Růčka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milan Juráček, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in FK Hridelec fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Boruc Juszkowski, was totally fooled by FC Baník Ostrava's Vavřinec Halada, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 98 played minutes FK Hridelec got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Břeň. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Baník Ostrava eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
