In the 16th minute, Langentriebe's Vilibald Šára seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vilibald Šára the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Langentriebe protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vilibald Šára had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Horst Janura charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horst Janura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Langentriebe booed when Birkenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horst Janura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Langentriebe's Erich Lavička played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miloš Bělohradský in the 29th minute of play. He walked away shaking his head. 41 minutes into the match, Birkenberg's Horst Janura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erich Lavička narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miloš Bělohradský stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Birkenberg's Horst Janura got his second yellow card of the match in the 62nd minute. The referee ordered Horst Janura off the ground. Horst Janura hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Birkenberg's František Kousal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislav Poul in the 68th minute of play. When Ladislav Poul came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Langentriebe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislav Poul couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Ladislav Poul managed to get in a good position for a shot. Langentriebe's supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislav Poul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. František Kousal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erich Lavička made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miloš Bělohradský in the 76th minute of play. After 76 minutes, Jaromír Martinů mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Langentriebe and the Birkenberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislav Poul in the 92nd minute of play forced Birkenberg's goalkeeper František Kousal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Josef Klikar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birkenberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josef Klikar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miloš Bělohradský fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erich Lavička having to interfere. The Birkenberg players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
