After a rather tough play, Rio Ave CF's Václav Klempár got a free kick in the 5th minute. Patrik Lindovský had several of the SK Radejov's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 7 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Jiří Pokorný as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of SK Radejov booed when Rio Ave CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Václav Klempár didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rio Ave CF's Josef Sixta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ondřej Hrabal in the 13th minute of play. When Rio Ave CF's Vilém Lorenz in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SK Radejov's goalie prevented a goal. Jiří Pokorný made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilém Lorenz in the 18th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Vilém Lorenz made a precise shot to the right of Jiří Pokorný. SK Radejov's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Vilém Lorenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jiří Pokorný having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Patrik Lindovský dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jiří Pokorný, 3-0. 30 minutes into the match, Vilém Lorenz notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of SK Radejov's Jiří Pokorný. Jiří Pokorný was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd match minute, Rio Ave CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Václav Klempár to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute of the match Arnold Topol sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Josef Sixta skillfully saved the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Vilém Lorenz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jiří Pokorný. Vilém Lorenz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Ondřej Hrabal's late challenge caught a Rio Ave CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ondřej Hrabal helped the player get up and apologised. Vilém Lorenz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Jiří Pokorný made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilém Lorenz in the 53rd minute of play. Josef Sixta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ondřej Hrabal in the 56th minute of the match. Jiří Pokorný took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilém Lorenz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SK Radejov's Jiří Pokorný played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Lindovský in the 61st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrik Lindovský in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jiří Pokorný saved SK Radejov from getting behind. Ondřej Hrabal was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. SK Radejov's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jiří Pokorný stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vilém Lorenz's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Patrik Lindovský sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th match minute, SK Radejov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Helmut Honek to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Rio Ave CF's Vilém Lorenz tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Vilém Lorenz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petr Tuček's late challenge caught a Rio Ave CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petr Tuček helped the player get up and apologised. Rio Ave CF's Patrik Lindovský got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Rio Ave CF fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Rio Ave CF's Patrik Lindovský looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vilém Lorenz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jiří Pokorný tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rio Ave CF fully deserved thier win.
