Anton Filipi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 6 minutes into the game, one of FK Magnezit Jelšava:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Sandalio Izaguirre, was totally fooled by FC Karlovy Vary's Lukáš Herčík, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Nikolaj Slováček managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Magnezit Jelšava's supporters rose to their feet, but Nikolaj Slováček was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Filipi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, FC Karlovy Vary's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Petružálek came free, but Anton Filipi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Martin Petružálek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boleslaw Siedlecki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, FC Karlovy Vary's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Petružálek came free, but Anton Filipi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jiří Vimr hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd match minute, FK Magnezit Jelšava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svatopluk Čuba to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Martin Petružálek in the 35th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Boleslaw Siedlecki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martin Petružálek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Anton Filipi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jiří Vimr fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Karlovy Vary's protests and gave Jiří Vimr a yellow card for diving instead. Anton Filipi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Petružálek's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Petružálek made a kick off. Martin Petružálek took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anton Filipi. Anton Filipi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Martin Petružálek might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anton Filipi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Petružálek ran back to his position shaking his head. Miloslav Kolaja hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Petružálek in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Filipi saved FC Karlovy Vary from getting behind. 1-4 became the score in the 65th minute when Martin Petružálek elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Martin Petružálek struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Anton Filipi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Magnezit Jelšava. After 71st play minutes Martin Petružálek shot 1-5, a short shot which went by Anton Filipi and just under the crossbar into goal. 76 minutes into the match, FC Karlovy Vary's goalkeeper Anton Filipi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armando Izzo. FC Karlovy Vary's Anton Filipi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save FC Karlovy Vary from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 86 in the game by Martin Petružálek from a close distance when the talented Anton Filipi managed to make a qualified save. FC Karlovy Vary's players were relieved. Martin Petružálek's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Anton Filipi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 90th minute, one of FC Karlovy Vary:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Karlovy Vary. In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for FK Magnezit Jelšava. Boleslaw Siedlecki stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Anton Filipi. 1-7. In the 95th match minute, FK Magnezit Jelšava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Bautista to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, FK Magnezit Jelšava's goal looked a bit too open when Petr Ondrušek came free, but Sandalio Izaguirre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
