The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Igor Pliszka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 6th minute Pavel Ponížil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radek Bis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavel Ponížil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruslan Kohút kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radek Žůrek in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radek Bis saved Alcohol Masters from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FC Baník Stonava's Miroslav Mišák got a free kick in the 27th minute. Herbert Všetička hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Pavel Ponížil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Josef Raška was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alcohol Masters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Baník Stonava the free kick. The referee gave FC Baník Stonava a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pavel Ponížil, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Alcohol Masters's Radek Bis. 0-1. In the 67th minute, Pavel Ponížil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Baník Stonava's Ivan Hanzlík was substituted for Josef Brabec. 71 minutes into the match, FC Baník Stonava's Pavel Ponížil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radek Bis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Radek Žůrek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Drahomír Rosenbaum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaroslav Koutecký made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustav Man in the 78th minute of play. Pavel Ponížil might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radek Bis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavel Ponížil ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustav Man kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, FC Baník Stonava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Pliszka to maneuver through the defense. FC Baník Stonava's Jaroslav Koutecký played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Všetička in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Alcohol Masters's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pavel Ponížil fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Radek Žůrek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Radek Bis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alcohol Masters's Radek Bis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save Alcohol Masters from getting a goal against them. Radek Bis was a little too slow when Radek Žůrek got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 99th minute. The score was now 0-2.
