The audience thought a goal was coming when Česlav Kočiš got free with Milan Tesař in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Svatopluk Horáček came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Arsenal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svatopluk Horáček couldn't finish the play. Tomáš Buchar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexej Mottl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernard Hanzlík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milan Tesař having to interfere. The Fučíkova supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arsenal FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Arsenal FC.
