Günter Fila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petr Kožušník having to interfere. In the 16thth minute of the game Zdeněk Šopík who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hylvaty's Petr Kožušník was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zdeněk Šopík in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petr Kožušník prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Ladislav Kletečka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hylvaty's supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislav Kletečka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luděk Krejčíř breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 31 minutes, Valentin Koval managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hylvaty's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Koval was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zdeněk Šopík received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Petr Kožušník tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hylvaty's zone, Zdeněk Šopík stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petr Kožušník came out of the goal and Zdeněk Šopík tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maxmilian Los sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ladislav Kletečka stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Koval in the 52nd minute of play forced Litic's goalkeeper Luděk Krejčíř to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zdeněk Šopík sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 57 minutes, Zdeněk Šopík managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Ladislav Kletečka came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Hylvaty fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ladislav Kletečka couldn't finish the play. Litic's Luděk Krejčíř played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislav Kletečka in the 73rd minute of play. When Günter Fila came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Litic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Günter Fila couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Hylvaty getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Lukáš Křesťan hit a great ball. If Zdeněk Šopík had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. Petr Kožušník showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zdeněk Šopík, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute.
