Spectators: 6830 (Terracing: 5700, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 30) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Darek Polanský started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Malenovice's Lev Scholz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vilém Řepka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 5 minutes into the match, Darek Polanský notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Malenovice's Pavel Bartek. Pavel Bartek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lev Scholz in the 7th minute of play forced FC Metalist Kharkiv's goalkeeper Vilém Řepka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miloslav Sikora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Miloslav Sikora kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petr Tichý got free with Pavel Bartek in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FC Metalist Kharkiv booed when Malenovice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Špunda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pavel Bartek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bohumil Bauer in the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darek Polanský got free with Pavel Bartek in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vilém Řepka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Kulich, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Petr Tichý could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Pavel Bartek made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darek Polanský got free with Pavel Bartek in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edvard Strnad was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC Metalist Kharkiv getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Edvard Strnad hit a great ball. Tomáš Hošek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Pavel Bartek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Malenovice's zone, Miloslav Sikora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavel Bartek came out of the goal and Miloslav Sikora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pavel Bartek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miloslav Sikora in the 44th minute. When Tomáš Hošek came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the FC Metalist Kharkiv fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomáš Hošek couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Kulich stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Petr Tichý's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pavel Bartek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Darek Polanský notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Malenovice's Pavel Bartek. Pavel Bartek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pavel Bartek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petr Tichý in the 59th minute of play. FC Metalist Kharkiv's Tomáš Hošek got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomáš Hošek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Pavel Bartek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Malenovice's goal looked a bit too open when Tomáš Hošek came free, but Pavel Bartek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomáš Hošek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Bartek having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomáš Hošek in the 77th minute of play forced Malenovice's goalkeeper Pavel Bartek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Malenovice. Lev Scholz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vilém Řepka. 3-2. Karel Valík kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Pavel Bartek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miloslav Sikora went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute Bohumil Bauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Bartek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karel Valík received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Pavel Bartek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomáš Hošek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There was no doubt that FC Metalist Kharkiv were the better team. FC Metalist Kharkiv's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
