The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alex Hongyi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jeroným Šik. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilém Kosař in the 11th minute of play forced FC HLAVNICE's goalkeeper Koloman Dunka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Koloman Dunka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilém Kosař in the 13th minute of play. If Radomír Šindelář had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25thth minute of the game Leonard Fidler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Bayern Munich's Alex Hongyi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 27 played minutes FC HLAVNICE got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Fidler. Koloman Dunka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilém Kosař, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute Zdeněk Halada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koloman Dunka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Maxim Bušta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonard Fidler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vilém Kosař was the one to do the kick off. Koloman Dunka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vilém Kosař's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, FC Bayern Munich's Vilém Kosař ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Koloman Dunka. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonard Fidler in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Hongyi saved FC Bayern Munich from getting behind. Alex Hongyi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lubomír Dolenský, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Koloman Dunka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilém Kosař in the 68th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Koloman Dunka successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. FC Bayern Munich's Jan Šlehofer got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 72 minutes, Ladislav Křepela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC HLAVNICE and the FC Bayern Munich players grew even worse after the yellow card.
