Severino Ceresso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Babbis Kousis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Valter Rajdl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 played minutes FK Luku Tábor got a freekick which was hit by Libor Netopil. Benedito Mafra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kryštof Grmela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Michal Doseděl got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benedito Mafra quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Roman Borský kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ctirad Večerka got free with Benedito Mafra in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kryštof Grmela scored 1-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benedito Mafra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute, Vladimír Kalivoda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. TJ Pitín's Benedito Mafra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save TJ Pitín from getting a goal against them.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ctirad Večerka to strike the kick off in the second half. After 75 played minutes TJ Pitín got a freekick which was hit by Severino Ceresso.
