In the 8th match minute, Trey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Wyss to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Bertram Amstad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gäu-Selection's supporters rose to their feet, but Bertram Amstad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gian Denis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Manolo Grubenmann put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gian Denis. Remi Zuelle kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Trey's zone, Manolo Grubenmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gian Denis came out of the goal and Manolo Grubenmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Anatolij Pfeffer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gian Denis was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. After having played for 27 minutes, Manolo Grubenmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gäu-Selection's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manolo Grubenmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The attack was good, but when Jan Amireau in the 32nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 37thth minute of the game Jan Amireau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trey's Gian Denis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anatolij Pfeffer in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gian Denis saved Trey from getting behind. If Anatolij Pfeffer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manolo Grubenmann to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Trey's Morgan Näf got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 57 minutes into the match, Gäu-Selection's goal looked a bit too open when Fidelio Martinelli came free, but Felix Terwiesche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jan Amireau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Manolo Grubenmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gian Denis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Amireau in the 63rd minute of play. Trey's Gian Denis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Amireau in the 74th minute of play. Manolo Grubenmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bertram Amstad might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gian Denis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bertram Amstad ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute Eduard Wyss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Terwiesche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Trey's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Amireau came free, but Gian Denis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manolo Grubenmann in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gian Denis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 93 minutes into the match, Trey's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Amireau came free, but Gian Denis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Gäu-Selection's Jan Amireau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gian Denis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gäu-Selection's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
