Spectators: 6740 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Amos Duss started the match with the kick off. In the 3rdth minute of the game Hampton Grüter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Orbe's Jean Schott was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcus Badurina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laslo Dagenais kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Orbe's zone, Amos Duss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean Schott came out of the goal and Amos Duss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hampton Grüter in the 22nd minute of play forced Orbe's goalkeeper Jean Schott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jeff Rodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amos Duss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Hampton Grüter cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jean Schott was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Marcus Badurina got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Marcus Badurina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Antonio Belliger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean Schott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hampton Grüter in the 42nd minute of play. Jean Schott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hampton Grüter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 minutes, Willi Stadelmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arsenal and the Orbe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Arsenal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willi Stadelmann to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeff Rodel to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Hampton Grüter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal's supporters rose to their feet, but Hampton Grüter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean Schott breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute, Orbe's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hampton Grüter fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Jeff Rodel came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Orbe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeff Rodel couldn't finish the play. Marcus Badurina might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Belliger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Badurina ran back to his position shaking his head. Antonio Belliger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Badurina, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Marcus Badurina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Belliger having to interfere. If Jeff Rodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Orbe getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Diego Nagel hit a great ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Marcus Badurina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orbe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Badurina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amos Duss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Schott having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Orbe failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
