Basel's Giovanni Rodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noah Gianico in the 10th minute of play. Sebastian Righetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Giovanni Rodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Leopold Pohland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Basel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Sergio Junod had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 24 minutes into the match, Sebastian Righetti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giovanni Rodel. Basel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastian Righetti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Righetti in the 27th minute of play forced Basel's goalkeeper Giovanni Rodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Righetti struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Giovanni Rodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bagnes SC. In the 31st minute Sebastian Righetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Rodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Noah Gianico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giovanni Rodel was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Sven Wollstadt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bagnes SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 39 minutes into the match, Noah Gianico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giovanni Rodel. Claude Himmelreich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Junod, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Basel's goal looked a bit too open when Noah Gianico came free, but Giovanni Rodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Noah Gianico cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Giovanni Rodel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 1-7 became the score in the 72nd minute when Noah Gianico elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bagnes SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Philippe Schreiber was slow to take the kick. During this time Basel's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Basel's Florin Winiker to fire away a dangerous shot which Claude Himmelreich despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Giovanni Rodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noah Gianico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Righetti got free with Giovanni Rodel in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claude Himmelreich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Junod in the 91st minute of the match.
