In the 3rdth minute of the game Charly Pomi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ausserdinhard HC's Marin Weniger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Charly Pomi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marin Weniger having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Riccardo Troxler got free with Olof Greub in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Ausserdinhard HC's zone, Leonardo Lepre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marin Weniger came out of the goal and Leonardo Lepre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lokomotive Nussbaumen's Leonardo Lepre got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute Charly Pomi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marin Weniger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olof Greub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremias Troxler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Charly Pomi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ausserdinhard HC's Marin Weniger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Lepre in the 41st minute of play. A collision led to Ausserdinhard HC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Eugen Bircher hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonardo Lepre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Charly Pomi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Marin Weniger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeremias Troxler scored 1-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olof Greub, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A wasted opportunity for Lokomotive Nussbaumen. 67 minutes into the match, Ausserdinhard HC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Lepre came free, but Marin Weniger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
