In the 2nd match minute, AS Breganzona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Detlef Espirito to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Thorben Campa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club 99's supporters rose to their feet, but Thorben Campa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Greg Schmidlin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Josef Bühlmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Brandini in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thorben Campa in the 13th minute of play forced AS Breganzona's goalkeeper Greg Schmidlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willi Pfister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club 99's Jo Mazza pulled a muscle in his back after 22 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Guillaume Ritieni hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Herald Cavegn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AS Breganzona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herald Cavegn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Club 99's goalkeeper Josef Bühlmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Frasier Altermatt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in AS Breganzona's zone, Thorben Campa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Greg Schmidlin came out of the goal and Thorben Campa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, AS Breganzona's goalkeeper Greg Schmidlin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willi Pfister. Herald Cavegn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herald Cavegn struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Josef Bühlmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Breganzona.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herald Cavegn to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Club 99's goalkeeper Josef Bühlmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herald Cavegn. Tade Walder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg Schmidlin having to interfere. AS Breganzona's Greg Schmidlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tade Walder in the 75th minute of play. Rory Brandini charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rory Brandini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rory Brandini hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. If Willi Pfister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willi Pfister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg Schmidlin having to interfere. Willi Pfister recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Greg Schmidlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willi Pfister, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 94th match minute, Club 99 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thorben Campa to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
