In the 8th minute, Matthew Pierucci made a precise shot to the right of Janos Trommler. FC Asters's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. FC Asters's Janos Trommler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn De la Cruz in the 11th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, FC Asters's Henrick Walter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Odysseus Hammer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Glenn De la Cruz put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Janos Trommler. In the 36th minute, Schlieren's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Karl Egemann fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Matthew Pierucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Janos Trommler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Matthew Pierucci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Janos Trommler. FC Asters's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matthew Pierucci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn De la Cruz in the 44th minute of play forced FC Asters's goalkeeper Janos Trommler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Schlieren were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Janos Trommler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn De la Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Janos Trommler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matthew Pierucci in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Glenn De la Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schlieren's supporters rose to their feet, but Glenn De la Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Janos Trommler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Janos Trommler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn De la Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Schlieren's Glenn De la Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Janos Trommler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glenn De la Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Schlieren's Matthew Pierucci nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Janos Trommler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Glenn De la Cruz took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Janos Trommler to make any attempt to save it. Matthew Pierucci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matthew Pierucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janos Trommler having to interfere. After having played for 97 minutes, Henrick Walter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Asters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrick Walter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Schlieren left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Asters.
