GoDarwin Lugano's Gabor Racine got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th play minute Gerard Moench came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Janos Trommler. 1-0. Karl Egemann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Egemann in the 24th minute of play forced GoDarwin Lugano's goalkeeper Mirko Léveillé to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute, Gabor Racine made a precise shot to the right of Janos Trommler. FC Asters's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After having played for 57 minutes, Gabor Racine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GoDarwin Lugano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabor Racine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th match minute, GoDarwin Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olli Trinkl to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Gabor Racine's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Janos Trommler was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Mirko Léveillé came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Asters's Henrick Walter. But to his dismay, Henrick Walter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After a rather tough play, FC Asters's Ricardo Zurbuchen got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 71 played minutes FC Asters got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Wicki. Marvin Pauli was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 78 minutes into the match, GoDarwin Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Egemann came free, but Mirko Léveillé reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Henrick Walter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, FC Asters failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
