Matthew Pierucci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Greg Schmidlin made a huge save. Greg Schmidlin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matthew Pierucci in the 56th minute. Herald Cavegn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odysseus Hammer having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn De la Cruz in the 61st minute of play forced AS Breganzona's goalkeeper Greg Schmidlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matthew Pieruccis short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Greg Schmidlin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn De la Cruz in the 67th minute of play forced AS Breganzona's goalkeeper Greg Schmidlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AS Breganzona's Greg Schmidlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn De la Cruz in the 70th minute of play. After having played for 71 minutes, Glenn De la Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schlieren's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glenn De la Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, AS Breganzona's Jacques Stofer got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 78th minute, Matthew Pierucci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Schlieren played a much better game than AS Breganzona and deserved their victory. The AS Breganzona players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
