Rory Brandini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mirko Léveillé having to interfere. Herald Cavegn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Mirko Léveillé tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rory Brandini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerard Moench in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Greg Schmidlin saved AS Breganzona from getting behind. When GoDarwin Lugano's Gabor Racine in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AS Breganzona's goalie prevented a goal. Rory Brandini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rory Brandini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mirko Léveillé having to interfere. Gabor Racine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerard Moench struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Greg Schmidlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GoDarwin Lugano. Frasier Altermatt kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. GoDarwin Lugano's Gerard Moench got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Herald Cavegn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The referee ignored GoDarwin Lugano's protests and gave Janning Stegmeier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd minute Rory Brandini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirko Léveillé saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pascal Aebi charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Greg Schmidlin was a little too slow when Gabor Racine got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 95th minute Herald Cavegn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirko Léveillé saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. GoDarwin Lugano had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
