The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Greg Schmidlin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Club 99's Willi Pfister in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AS Breganzona's goalie prevented a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Josef Bühlmann successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Herald Cavegn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Josef Bühlmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Willi Pfister's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Greg Schmidlin was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Pietro Jung was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in AS Breganzona fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Herald Cavegn hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Herald Cavegn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Josef Bühlmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, AS Breganzona's goal looked a bit too open when Willi Pfister came free, but Greg Schmidlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Herald Cavegn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josef Bühlmann having to make a save. AS Breganzona's Greg Schmidlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thorben Campa in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AS Breganzona's Guillaume Ritieni got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Willi Pfister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willi Pfister recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th match minute, Club 99 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anatolij Steinmann to maneuver through the defense. After taking down the ball on AS Breganzona's corner Guillaume Ritieni fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Josef Bühlmann quite easily take care of the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Thorben Campa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Greg Schmidlin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club 99's Willi Pfister got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Greg Schmidlin came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Club 99's Willi Pfister. But to his dismay, Willi Pfister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. A collision led to AS Breganzona getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Guillaume Ritieni hit a great ball. When the match was over Club 99 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than AS Breganzona throughout the match.
