If Jonas Giacomini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC Huttwil booed when FC Joao United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauritz Flückiger didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

FC Joao United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dario Stöckli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3.
