Starlera FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Giacomini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jonas Giacomini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jonas Giacomini came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the SC Huttwil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Giacomini couldn't finish the play. After 34 played minutes, Starlera FC's Michel Zuccarino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abel Grondin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Starlera FC reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Giacomini in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dominique Tittone saved Starlera FC from getting behind. Jonas Giacomini succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendan Hunzinger in the 45th minute of play forced SC Huttwil's goalkeeper Abel Grondin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of SC Huttwil booed when Starlera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tom Lejeune didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see SC Huttwil's Freddy Blum in action when he in the 67th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Starlera FC's Dominique Tittone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Stöckli in the 78th minute of play. Jonas Giacomini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
