The audience was convinced that Alexander Muller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcel Lessard was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the game, Gillian Zufferey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gillian Zufferey in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcel Lessard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 24 minutes into the match, Pruntrut's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Muller came free, but Marcel Lessard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alexander Muller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Gillian Zufferey notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Pruntrut's Marcel Lessard. Marcel Lessard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gillian Zufferey struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Marcel Lessard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Visperterminen HC. The Pruntrut fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Lessard should have stopped the shot.

The wind increased when Tiberius Kuefer made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Alexander Muller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Lessard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pruntrut's zone, Gillian Zufferey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Lessard came out of the goal and Gillian Zufferey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcel Lessard acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 57th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Andre Traugott. A collision led to Pruntrut getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Douglas Eisenhauer hit a great ball. Gillian Zufferey was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Visperterminen HC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Marcel Lessard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gillian Zufferey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel Lessard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gillian Zufferey's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. When Pius Tschupp came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Visperterminen HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pius Tschupp couldn't finish the play.
