Frankl Weniger made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Karl Caniglia sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Bex's Frankl Weniger got control of the ball when Karl Caniglia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ingo Schmidlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Wermelinger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingo Schmidlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Wermelinger in the 14th minute of play. Bex's Frankl Weniger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronan Christen in the 24th minute of play. Ronan Christen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Sixt Rothschild hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl Caniglia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Frankl Weniger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cyrill Seitz made a great header on Bex's corner, it was just that Chevenez's Ingo Schmidlin managed to reach the ball for a save. Andreas Hagenbuch hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Germano Wermelinger made the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes Bex got a freekick which was hit by Florin Huerlimann. After 62 played minutes Bex got a freekick which was hit by Leonello Sonsini. A collision led to Bex getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Sixt Rothschild hit a great ball. Frankl Weniger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Caniglia in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Karl Caniglia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chevenez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl Caniglia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ingo Schmidlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Wermelinger in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Karl Caniglia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Frankl Weniger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Florin Huerlimann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingo Schmidlin having to interfere. When Anatole Wickihalter came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Bex fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anatole Wickihalter couldn't finish the play. 82 minutes in the game, Germano Wermelinger fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ingo Schmidlin having to interfere. Ronan Christen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Frankl Weniger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ronan Christen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chevenez's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronan Christen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frankl Weniger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chevenez fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bex had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
