Steffen Cathomas struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Martin Mauer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villigen. After 7 played minutes Fc Kuny got a freekick which was hit by Forrester Crook. Beltrame Odermatt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Mauer having to interfere. The supporters of Villigen booed when Fc Kuny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikel Kottmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Gianluca Bauhofer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Gremion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Fc Kuny's Gianluca Bauhofer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erwin Gremion. Erwin Gremion yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Martin Mauer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steffen Cathomas, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Beltrame Odermatt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Mauer having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Alfonso Künzli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Herbert Pascolo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Villigen's Erwin Gremion got control of the ball when Herbert Pascolo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martin Mauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beltrame Odermatt in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Villigen's goal looked a bit too open when Gianluca Bauhofer came free, but Erwin Gremion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steffen Cathomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Mauer having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Steffen Cathomas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villigen's supporters rose to their feet, but Steffen Cathomas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Mauer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Gianluca Bauhofer made the kick off in the second half. The Villigen fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Villigen's Beltrame Odermatt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 57th minute, Steffen Cathomas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Beltrame Odermatt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin Mauer. Beltrame Odermatt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Erwin Gremion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Pascolo in the 68th minute of play. The supporters of Fc Kuny booed when Villigen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislaw Sägesser didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gianluca Bauhofer fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Kuny's protests and gave Gianluca Bauhofer a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Fc Kuny's Gianluca Bauhofer got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Beltrame Odermatt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Martin Mauer. That made the score 1-3 in the 79 minute of play. When Gianluca Bauhofer came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Fc Kuny fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gianluca Bauhofer couldn't finish the play. Martin Mauer made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Steffen Cathomas sent off a good shot on target. Villigen's Steffen Cathomas got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Pascolo in the 95th minute of play forced Villigen's goalkeeper Erwin Gremion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Forrester Crook got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erwin Gremion quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
