The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the game, Zinal's Christian Hess nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joe Füglister made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Noah Graf could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Maxi Schläpfer made a huge save. Noah Graf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Thaler in the 41st minute of play forced Zinal's goalkeeper Maxi Schläpfer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Zinal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Noah Graf fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 46th minute Roy Thaler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxi Schläpfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Maxi Schläpfer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noah Graf in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxi Schläpfer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of FC Wattenwil booed when Zinal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elian Batsch didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Roy Thaler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 minutes, Nepomuk Sigrist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zinal and the FC Wattenwil players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, FC Wattenwil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Stähelin to maneuver through the defense. Maxi Schläpfer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roy Thaler's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Noah Graf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxi Schläpfer having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roy Thaler in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxi Schläpfer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 91 minutes, Noah Graf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Wattenwil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noah Graf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Thaler in the 99th minute of play forced Zinal's goalkeeper Maxi Schläpfer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Wattenwil had won after a very even match.
