FC Wattenwil's Roy Thaler got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Marius Frère had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 7 minutes, Marius Frère managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marius Frère was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marius Frère sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 11 played minutes FC Wattenwil got a freekick which was hit by Fidelis Donsante. Marius Frère's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Joe Füglister skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Joe Füglister showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymond Kobel, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Raymond Kobel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joe Füglister was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 28th minute, Marius Frère ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joe Füglister was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Noah Graf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loic Lindemann having to interfere. Amandus Huber walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 43rd minute Raymond Kobel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joe Füglister saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joe Füglister was a little too slow when Raymond Kobel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roy Thaler was the one to do the kick off. 59 minutes into the game, Berna FC's Hampton Jeker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joe Füglister made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Joe Füglister showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymond Kobel in the 63rd minute of the match. Fidelis Donsante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Loic Lindemann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Thaler in the 67th minute of play forced Berna FC's goalkeeper Loic Lindemann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marius Frère had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th match minute, FC Wattenwil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dolf Obrecht to maneuver through the defense. When Marius Frère came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Berna FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marius Frère couldn't finish the play. When Berna FC's Marius Frère in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Berna FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
