The audience was convinced that Klemens Wüst's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juergen Scheuber was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Maurizio Rütimann helped the player get up and apologised. 42 minutes into the game, Bex's Klemens Wüst nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juergen Scheuber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After the first half Bex were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Benno Frischknecht made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SL Benfica-Bern's Jordan Durr got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Klemens Wüst received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Juergen Scheuber came out and tried to block the shot, but Klemens Wüst slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 56th minute.
