Spectators: 6794 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1794, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Thomas Egemann got the match started through his kick off. Thomas Egemann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loic Lindemann having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Raymond Kobel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Grodei SC's Oscar Daecher. Oscar Daecher was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 10th minute, Augustin Estermann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Kobel in the 15th minute of play forced Grodei SC's goalkeeper Oscar Daecher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Raymond Kobel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Daecher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raymond Kobel in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Daecher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Thomas Egemann fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grodei SC's protests and gave Thomas Egemann a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Grodei SC's Thomas Egemann got a free kick in the 21st minute. Donald Aebi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oscar Daecher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raymond Kobel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marius Frère fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Daecher having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Grodei SC's Pete Jaeger got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raymond Kobel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Loic Lindemann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald Aebi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raymond Kobel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oscar Daecher came out and tried to block the shot, but Raymond Kobel slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 54th minute. A collision led to Grodei SC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Phil Margùerat hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Kobel in the 62nd minute of play forced Grodei SC's goalkeeper Oscar Daecher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Grodei SC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Thomas Egemann hit a great ball. Marius Frère who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Oscar Daecher when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Grodei SC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Pete Jaeger hit a great ball. If Marius Frère had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Berna FC's Raymond Kobel in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grodei SC's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Raymond Kobel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Oscar Daecher. That made the score 0-4 in the 76 minute of play. Oscar Daecher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymond Kobel in the 81st minute of the match. Oscar Daecher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymond Kobel in the 88th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Grodei SC's zone, Raymond Kobel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Daecher came out of the goal and Raymond Kobel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Kobel in the 92nd minute of play forced Grodei SC's goalkeeper Oscar Daecher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fremont Pfeffer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Berna FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
