Spectators: 7644 (Terracing: 5843, Seating: 1791, VIP seats: 10) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gordy Medina got the match started through his kick off. Dieter Weber hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Ocourt HC's Jose Steindl got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jo Briard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olli Nielispach's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Olli Nielispach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jo Briard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Arrigo Häfeli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaques Ehrenbolger succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 21st playminute. After 30 minutes of play, Ocourt HC's Arrigo Häfeli made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jo Briard was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jokers United's Jo Briard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olli Nielispach in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Jokers United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Tobler to maneuver through the defense. Jo Briard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arrigo Häfeli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Jokers United's zone, Arrigo Häfeli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jo Briard came out of the goal and Arrigo Häfeli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jo Briard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olli Nielispach in the 44th minute of the match. If Arrigo Häfeli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olli Nielispach to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gordy Medina in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juerg Zarrella prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Olli Nielispach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gordy Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Olympio Charpie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jaques Ehrenbolger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olli Nielispach in the 67th minute of play forced Jokers United's goalkeeper Jo Briard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Olli Nielispach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Arrigo Häfeli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ocourt HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arrigo Häfeli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jo Briard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Arrigo Häfeli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arrigo Häfeli got free with Jo Briard in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Jokers United's Marc Koller got a free kick in the 76th minute. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Arrigo Häfeli got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 85th minute, Olli Nielispach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olympio Charpie hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Gordy Medina scored 2-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juerg Zarrella, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gordy Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juerg Zarrella having to interfere. Gordy Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despite being the better team, Ocourt HC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
